Kirk is the founder and practice leader of Edge Consulting. He is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) with nearly 30 years of experience leading financial, operational, and information technology auditing programs. A former Big Four auditor and Director of Internal Audit for a Fortune 500 company, he has led enterprise audit activities, financial reporting controls, and complex operational audit work.
His background includes risk assessment, internal controls, financial compliance, and remediation of Sarbanes-Oxley control deficiencies. He has worked closely with external auditors and audit committees to turn complex control environments into clear, supportable outcomes.
As practice leader, Kirk sets the methodology and leads or oversees client engagements. Edge Consulting can draw on qualified audit professionals when an engagement’s scope, timing, or specialized needs call for additional support.
Kirk has overseen ISO 27001 readiness and ongoing maintenance, directly performed ISO 27001 internal audits, and supported external-auditor coordination. Edge Consulting also provides ISO 27001 and SOC 2 readiness support where a broader engagement is needed.
