Kirk is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) with nearly 30 years of experience leading financial, operational, and information technology auditing programs. A former Big Four auditor and Director of Internal Audit for a Fortune 500 company, he has led enterprise audit activities, financial reporting controls, and complex operational audit work.
His background includes risk assessment, internal controls, financial compliance, and remediation of Sarbanes-Oxley control deficiencies. He has worked closely with external auditors and audit committees to turn complex control environments into clear, supportable outcomes.
Kirk has overseen successful ISO 27001 compliance, including initial readiness and ongoing maintenance. He has directly performed ISO 27001 internal audits required under the standard, and his work has been successfully relied upon by external auditors.
